Wild life watch tower inaugurated in Khulazu village

A wild life watch tower was inaugurated at Khulazu village by DFO Phek Rongsenlemla Imchen on May 27 which is covered under biodiversity project sponsored by forest department, presently under Tizu Forest (K. Bawe).
The DFO in her address during the inauguration appreciated the effort shown by the community in conserving the forest and highlighted the sustainability of mass conservation effort and its importance for the community and for the future generation.
 She also stressed on strict on-field implementation of the forest resolution passed by the Council. The village Council also acknowledged the department for creating conservation awareness in the village and also for their guidance in implementing the project. 
To mark the occasion, a tree plantation programme was organised by the department wherein local fruit bearing species were planted. Others present in the function were Ranger Chozuba,  Ruvesuh, executive staffs of Phek Forests Department, Village council and various local organizations.
