‘World No Tobacco Day’ observed in MITE, DBHSS

World no tobacco day was celebrated Saturday at the Auditorium of Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE), Kohima under the theme “Stop illicit trade of tobacco product”.
On this occasion, MITE vice principal delivered a short speech on “how to refrain from tobacco” by expressing the concerned of the students while B. Ed student-teachers also expressed their views on the issue. 
An essay competition on “tobacco free youth” was organized by the college. The programme started with the invocation by Viketsono, welcome note by Abotoli and special numbers while a short documentary was presented by Sorenbeni.
DBHSS: “World No Tobacco Day” was observed in Don Bosco Higher Secondary School on Saturday with DEO, R Amongla Jamir as chief guest.
The programme was chaired by Father Jo of PNF while Dr M A Wati CMO exhorted the students and key note address was given by Dr Temjennungsang. 
Public Prosecutor Y T Sangtam and Dr Alex Kithan gave powerful testimony for voice of tobacco victims and chief manager SBI gave a talk on banking literacy.
 Inter school poster making competition was also conducted where students from 20 tobacco freed school participated. Katirenla from St Joseph school Chumukedima, Shongmao from Government Higher Secondary School Nagarjan and Ashim from Christian mission school Diphupar we adjudged first, second and third respectively.
