One day training on skill development and enterprise of Commodity Interested Groups (CIGs) under Rastriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) was conducted Saturday at EBRC hall by department of assistant registrar of co-operative societies for Longleng and Tamlu block.
Speaking on the training, resource person assistant registrar co-operative societies Longleng Chume Chang gave briefed on the maintenance of different register for proper and transparency record of any government aided facilities under the scheme.
He also elaborated on the duties and functions once the committee is setup in block wise.
He urged the participants to extend co-operation to the department for smooth functioning of the any government aided scheme in the district and also asserted that block wise managing committee would be formed very soon.
Also speaking in the training, HEA, district horticulture department Angngoi Phom highlighted on saplings and production of fruit crops focusing mainly on citrus. She advised participants to take keen interest in the citrus crops as it is suitable for a place like Longleng.
Atongba Ao who chaired the training program also spoke on the basic management and responsibilities of the managing committee. Around 40 participants mostly farmers from both Longleng and Tamlu block participated in the training.
