Three non-locals were nabbed by the youth of Diezephe and Urra villages on May 24 for alleged extortion and seized wooden guns from their possession.
According to ADCP/PRO Dimapur, the three were identified as Abdul Noor (55) son of Lt. Abdul Ali of Udmari village, Nagaon, Assam and presently residing at Dhansiri sidings (Assam), Md. Hukum Ali son of Lt. Dorjon Ali, Borbotha village, Assam and Abu Sana Ali (30) son of Nur Islam Ali, of Nagaon, Assam, and presently residing at Deizephe village, Dimapur.
The three were produced before Sub-Urban PS along with the following items: 5 handmade wooden (dummy) gun, one knife, 5 camouflage pants, one pair of jungle boots, one khaki shirt, one berret cap, two live rounds of .12 bore calibre, cash Rs. 665 and three mobile phones. A case has been registered with Sub-Urban police station and the accused persons remanded into police custody for investigation, stated PRO Dimapur police.
