MP Khekiho Zhimomi: Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) H.Khekiho Zhimomi has expressed sadness over the untimely demise of Ikishe village head GB late Ikishe Zhimomi.
In his condolence message, Zhimomi recalled late Ikishe as one of the early settlers of Dimapur along with his brother late Chekiye Zhimomi and that after establishing his village; late Ikishe Zhimomi worked for the welfare and harmony of not only Sumi community but Naga brethren in general. Khekiho said late Ikishe’s social service and contribution towards fostering unity in diversity amongst Naga community in and around Dimapur stood appreciated and acknowledged.
Zhimomi said the demise of late Ikishe was a personal loss to him and his family. He also extended condolences and prayed to Almighty to grant strength and solace to the bereaved family.
GPRN/NSCN kilonser: GPRN/NSCN senior kilonser Akato Chophi has mourned the demise of late Suhovi Chophi of Yehemi village, Zunheboto who passed away on May 17.
In a condolence message, Chophi said that late Suhovi, who was a circle officer Zunheboto and political officer to Maj Bob Kathing, translated Assamese school books into 11 Naga languages. He also described late Suhovi as a leader with a vision. Further, Akato has conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed to the Almighty to grant them solace and eternal peace to the departed soul.
