Nagaland Government in an order has directed shifting of various government office located in Dimapur to the new DC complex at Chumukedima in phase-wise manner.
According to DIPR, the order further stated that shifting of Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office from Dimapur headquarter to Chumukedima would be decided at a later stage.
The order issued by the Home department (GAB) stated that various district offices that are housed in private buildings on rent and which do not have much interface with the public would be shifted in the first phase.
The following offices have been asked to shift immediately– BSNL Ltd., Treasury, State Bank of India, Horticulture, District Planning office, Block Development office, District Rural Development Agency, Cooperation, Information & Public Relations, Information Technology & Communication, Urban Development, Passport Office, Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal. DC Dimapur has been directed to regulate the shifting of the district offices.
