Taking serious note on the sporadic increase of violence and bombings in Naga inhabited areas; the Naga Hoho (NH) during its executive meeting held at Kohima denounced all forms of violence arising out of the current political scenario and its subsequent consequences.
While condemning the killings that are taking place in Nagaland and Manipur, Naga Hoho appealed to various Naga Political Groups to desist from such activities that hurt the sentiments of its citizens and shootings that are taking place in heavily public dominated areas.
The Hoho also denounced all forms of killings and affirmed its position to ensure peaceful atmosphere, particularly in the present state of Nagaland and appealed everyone to be a contributing factor towards bringing peace and tranquility to the society.
The Naga Hoho further appealed the NSCN (K) to review its decision for abrogating the hard earned cease-fire agreement with the Government of India.
The hoho said the entire Naga populace has been yearning for Indo-Naga political settlement through peaceful means basing on the fact that there was no place for any settlement through violence in this new era of global scenario.
