CC organises seminar for Don Bosco School parents

Career Cliniq (CC), in association with Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training, had organized a one-day seminar for parents of Don Bosco School (DBS), Dimapur, on the theme “Ignite the spirit of science” to educate parents on non-traditional science careers available in private and government sector.
During the seminar, DBS Principal expressed happiness on being the first school to initiate educative and informative campaign. She assured the parents to impart quality teaching to students.
Retired Joint Director of School Education, R Angami, stressed on the need to develop a scientific temperament in the state and encouraged the students to deal with science and maths without fear. He lamented that the state has been lacking in quality science and maths teachers. He, however, expressed hope that digital courseware which was recently launched by the Parliamentary Secretary for School Education, Yitachu, would address the problem in big way.
CC Director, Dr. Anirban Choudary, while delivering keynote address, highlighted various modern employment avenues that were available in science stream. He also elucidated that science and maths comes naturally in various forms in day to day life. He, therefore, encouraged the students to embrace them and not to be fearful.
The parents also shared their delight on the initiative and assured to encouraged scientific temperament amongst their wards.
