Commemoration service of 108 years (1907 – 2015) of the first Rengma late Lokhin Nsü convert to Christianity was held at T Zisunyu village ground on April 28 on the theme “God’s faithfulness”.
The commemoration service started by giving holy communion to 126 newly Baptist young children which was conducted under the leadership of Rev. L. Tsela, Pastor of T Zisunyu Baptist Church.
Rev. Dr. Kethozelho Keyho, General Secretary NBCC, who was the speaker of the service, lauded and praise God for his faithfulness and said that 108 years ago, there was only one Baptist/convert Christian by the name Late Lokhin Nsü among the Rengma Naga but now thousands of Christian are with us at present and even many more outreach missionary works has been successfully done by the Rengmas.
The speaker therefore prayed and urged upon the Rengma community to continue to celebrate a “God’s faithfullness”.
Invocation prayer was offered by the Rengma ordained ministers and awarded commendation gifts to the descendants of Christian pioneers of Rengma during the celebration service.
The history of the first Rengma convert to Christianity late Lokhin Nsü (on 28th April 1907) was presented by Rev. Andrew Sep, Director of Nagaland Missionary movement, words of greeting were delivered by Dr. Atsi Dolie Executive Secretary NBCC and Pelühiwalo Apong, Executive Secretary CRBF.
Monolith in honour of the completion of 108 years Christianity was unveiled and inaugurated during commemoration service by Rev. MK Loring, Senior Pastor, Sovima Baptist church.
Welcome address and vote of thanks were delivered by Rev. Asinlo Khing, Mission Director, Rengma Baptist Mission, Gwanilo Khing, Principal, Mount Terogvü Theological College respectively.
Rev. G. Khing, Director of Asian Soul winners was the leader of the commemoration service. More than 2500 attended the commemoration service.
