With the ongoing mission of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, staff of the directorate of youth resources & sports Nagaland, Kohima conducted mass social work Saturday at the premises of the directorate office.
The social work was conducted with a view to keep the office compound, rooms clean, neat and tidy.
Director YRS, Asangla Imti exhorted the staff to maintain cleanliness as office is an alternate home of stay where the employees as well as the public come together for work. She narrated the importance and value of social work in society and quote of “cleanliness is next to godliness”. All officers, staffs of the directorate attended the social work.
In Dimapur, Dimapur Municipal Council organized a social work Saturday at DMC Slaughter house (abbatoir), Khatkhati road, Dimapur and its nearby areas under “Swach Bharat Mission”.
DMC Administrator, H Atokhe Aye, DMC officials, Look East Construction Pvt Ltd, GB and Colony Chairmen of United North Block also participated in the social work.
Dimapur District Auto Drivers Union (DDADU) also conducted a social work on Saturday from Dhobinala to DC Court and Sub-Jail Tina Ali, led by secretary cum line in-charge, DDADU Dimapur Lanu Aier. During the social work, the members of DDADU repaired several portion of the road by filling up the potholes in various places and plastering it.
