Making a significant statement, the ministry of information and publicity (MIP ) of the NSCN (I-M) said “ the unresolved case between the union government of India and the Naga, will soon come to a negotiated and honourable conclusion”.
It also reiterated that the government of India “truly admits futility of seeking military solution”. Maintaining that both parties have “ become more committed and mature to foresee a shared future” MIP also said both also understood possible fall-outs, should negotiations fail.
It said that despite “disruptive designs” constantly hurled “by vested interest people to upset the progress of political talks, government of India with wisdom, has reconnoitered the nature of the case, in order to experience fulfilment of strenuous dialogue”. On recent incidents in Tamenglong district, Manipur, MIP said it was unfortunate, that “some unreasonable and vested interest groups and agencies have been actively operating in this part of the region- along the rail head corridor and the National Highway 53.”
MIP said it seriously observed “certain agencies” were associated with “criminal orders and their unlawful activities” in order to achieve “their selfish ambition”. It said due to such “infatuated influence” the entire populace of Zeliangrong region have been kept as “hostage and human shields, while ruffians celebrate their achievements of “dangerous threat to innocent citizens” and serious human rights violations.
