The final state-wide BJP primary membership drive was held at DMC Marketing Complex, Marwaripatti, Dimapur, by the BJP Dimapur district on March 30.
Several party leaders and public supporters collectively made effort to register Dimapur citizens into the party fold. A brief programme was held before the registration where Arsapa, mandal president of 4 Ghaspani-I A/C, said the invocation prayer followed by welcome address by Nikhevi, president BJP Dimapur district. Short speeches were delivered by the chief guest, HK Khullu, retired Additional Secretary; Yanghose, convenor of the membership drive 2015; Bimal Sethi, treasurer of State BJP; Prashant Arora, general secretary (org); Medom Angami, national executive member; and Yambos Murry, national executive member of ST Morcha.
The district president, Nikhevi said several businessmen and passersby registered themselves as BJP members.
Meanwhile, BJP Dimapur district has thanked the public, the new members as well as the state BJP leaders and senior leaders for the cooperation extended to the BJP Dimapur district for the successful programme.
It further informed that interested public could still register themselves at the party office, Supermarket, Dimapur.
