Doctors fight contagious disease in Kiphire

On receipt of information from the Amahator village council under Kiphire district about the outbreak of contagious skin disease, team of doctors from District Hospital, Kiphire, led by Dr. Holiba Sangtam, Dr. Apong Sangtam, Dr. Sunep and staff of PHC Amahator reached the village and treated the students and infected villagers on March 28.
Acknowledging the doctors and staff of DHK, Seili, Head GB of Amahator village, said the timely intervention of the medical staff was a great blessing for the villagers. He also expressed hope that their visit would surely eliminate the disease from the village soon.
Lousi Sangtam, executive member of USSC, who accompanied the team expressed appreciation to the doctors and staff of DHK for timely reaching the spot with free treatment. He assured that the conference would extend cooperation even in the days to come.
