USLP holds meet

United Sangtam Likhum Pumji (USLP) has held a joint meeting with village elders under Longkhim and Chare on February 16 at Longkhim town. The meeting was also attended by EAC and Police OC.
During the meeting, members expressed concern over the communal clashes between the Chang and Yimchunger tribes in Tuensang district and prayed to the Almighty God to guide the tribal leaders to reconcile.
USLP further cautioned all concerned to desist from bloodshed within Sangtam land (jurisdiction) and said that perpetrators would be condemned with the strongest terms as per the Sangtam customary practices.
