DC Longleng notifies on arm licence

Deputy Commissioner, Longleng, has informed all the arms license holders under Longleng district that as per the Amendment of Rule 57 of Arms Rule 1962, a unique number would be created for all existing and new arms license holders to create a National Data Base of Arms License (NDAL) and that no license would be valid after October 1, 2015 without the said unique number.
In a notification, DC, Longleng, Nikhashe Sema, has directed all the arms license holders in the district to collect the format from the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Longleng (Arms Branch) and submit the details as per the format at the earliest date.
He said circular to this effect has been issued twice earlier on July 31, 2014, and on November 18, 2014. He said only few license holders have submitted the required information. He informed that non-submission of details to the office would be at the risks of the license holders adding that the office would not be held responsible for non-compliance.
