Kripa Foundation appeals for fund

Kripa Foundation Nagaland has appealed the State government and Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) to release fund for HIV/AIDS programme implemented by various organisations (NGOs and CBOs).
Kripa Foundation Nagaland said non-release of fund by the State government and NSACS to the programmed implementers is going to have a huge negative impact in HIV programmes.
It said HIV intervention/ prevention commodities are about to stock out in NGOs Targeted Intervention projects adding stock out would create a serious setback to HIV programme. It expressed apprehension that delay in releasing the fund could threaten the public health response and also undermined the gains that they have achieved with many years hard work in controlling new HIV transmission.
Abou Mere, Director Kripa Foundation, has strongly urged the NSACS leadership to expedite all possible actions to ensure that fund for HIV/AIDS are release for effective implementation of HIV/AIDS programme and prevent devastating setback and help reversing the HIV epidemic, facilitating the progress to zero new infections, zero discrimination and zero AIDS-related deaths in Nagaland.
