A 15 member delegation of the Liangmai Baptist Association (LBA) from different churches led by its executive secretary, Kitanwi Chawang, travelled 405 kilometres from Tening Mission Centre to Mon Mission Town and attended the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) 20th Triennial Convention held from February 5 to 8 at Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjum Mission Centre in Mon Town. Executive Secretary Kitanwi said the team members were benefited through the spiritual messages given by the speakers. Besides the spiritual massages, the team also learned new methods of an indigenous cooking and different ways of hospitality to host such a big event in the near future. Apart from the 20th Triennial Convention, LBA team visited the most spreading popular village ‘the Longwa’ located in Mon district about 45 kilometers from Mon town. The team also visited the Longwa Angh place and interacted with the Angh and elders of the village on how Angh execute his administration. During their four days stay in the NBCC programme, LBA team was arranged to stay at the resident of Yangan, father of BDO Aboi Block Nokton Mon town, with the facilities which they never experience in their own home. Meanwhile, LBA delegate expressed heartfelt gratitude to Yangan and his family for the hospitality and generosity toward their guests considering them as the children of God.
