A three day training programme for head teachers and resource persons on inclusive education was successfully held at Life Spring Corner, Dimapur. The programme was organized by Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Hearing Handicapped (AYJNIHH), Mumbai, in collaboration with SSA Nagaland on the theme “Facilitating Inclusive practices”
The inaugural function was chaired by Tali Jamir, Deputy Mission Director In-charge of Inclusive Education SSA Nagaland, while the guest of honour was R Amongla, Deputy District Education Officer, Dimapur.
Tainla, District IE coordinator, Dimapur, has delivered the welcome address, while the key note address was presented by Dr. Varsha Gathoo, HOD Education, AYJNIHH, Mumbai. Altogether 70 participants attended the programme.
The resource persons for the workshop were Dr. Varsha Gathoo, HOD Education AYJNIHH, Mumbai; Mrs Shubhada Burde, Director CSED, Mumbai; Mrs Sonali Saini, Chairperson Sol’s Arc, Mumbai; and Mrs Deepshikha Mathur, ADAPT Mumbai.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dimpaur, Elizabeth Ngully, was the guest of honour, at the valedictory function on January 30. Miss Tainla, District IE coordinator, chaired the function and short speech was delivered by Dr. Varsha Gathoo, HOD Education AYJNIHH, Mumbai.
Word of appreciation, on behalf of the participants, was shared by Yongpanger, Physiotherapist, Mokokchung, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Tali Jamir, Deputy Mission Director in charge of IE, SMA Nagaland.
Meanwhile, the State Mission Authority SSA Nagaland, has expressed gratitude to AYJNIHH, Mumbai, for conducting the training on their own expenses and also to Mrs Elizabeth Ngullie, ADC, and Mrs. Amongla. DDEO, for consenting to be guest of honour for the programme.
