The Chief Medical Office, Peren, under the chairmanship of Dr. Ngangshimeren, CMO, has held it’s District Review Meeting on February 5 at IDSP Conference Hall, which was attended by the District Programme Officers, senior medical officers, medical officers and health workers.
The CMO has welcomed and expressed his appreciation to all the members present for attending the meeting. He also acknowledged the District Programme Officers and Medical Officers and everyone involved during the 1st Phase IPPI and health mela for their effort and support in successfully carrying out the programmes which was held last month.
He also stressed on the importance of Village Health Nutrition Day stating that it is the duty of the ANMs to give prior information to ASHAs to ensure the public avail the services provided. He said VHND is one main factor in order to improve the district performance.
Dr. Khrielasanuo, DPO RCH/UIP, has voiced out regarding the timely immunization and VHND to be strictly conducted in every village. She has mentioned exceptional performances of the health centers also highlighted on the basic immunization schedule.
Attending the meeting, Miss Khriethonuo Tungoe, DPO DAPCU, highlighted about “Empower,” an initiative of DAPCU Peren for education support for children infected and affected with HIV & AIDS in Peren district.
Concluding the meeting, CMO has urged the Medical Officers to be regular in their place of posting. He has expressed disapproval on proxy practices among the officials in the service.
The next review meeting is scheduled on March 5.
