Will continue our legitimate demand, says Noke & Kaito

Even as they unanimously voted in favour of the confidence motion, Noke Wangnao and G. Kaito Aye have affirmed they would continue their “legitimate demand” for T.R. Zeliang to step down as the chief minister.
Addressing press conference here Thursday, Kaito accused T.R. Zeliang of creating confusion by brining non DAN partners to vote for him. He accused Zeliang of flooding the house with non-DAN partners and securing 59 votes in the motion of confidence. Rubbishing reports that they could form a new party or join BJP, Kaito said the group has no intention of dismantling the DAN government and forming or joining any party.
He reiterated that their aim was to change the leadership and that they would pursue the same till it was achieved.
On the two NPF groups claiming to original party, Kaito said it was up to ECI to decide which group was the original, saying they would wait for the ECI’s decision. Meanwhile, in a press release, Noke and Kaito said their vote was a vote in favour of the DAN government and in favour of the NPF party, but it was not a vote for the leadership of T.R. Zeliang.
Asserting that from the “very first day” they have been maintaining that they are neither against the party nor against the DAN government, Noke and Kaito said they only called for a change of leadership as they have lost confidence in the leadership of T.R. Zeliang. Meanwhile, stating that reasons they were opposing the leadership have been highlighted time and again and has failed to receive any convincing response, the signatories highlighted some of T.R.s “major failures”.
