CCSU cautions errant officials

Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU) has expressed dismay to observe many Heads of Department (HOD) out of station and most employees absent for the entire month while some government offices were found ‘locked’ and without maintaining attendance register.
CCSU made the observation during the inspection jointly with the Eastern Nagaland Educated Un-Employed Union, Chang Students’ Union Tuensang Town and Tuensang Village Students’ Union to various government offices under Tuensang Headquarter on January 28.
Federal Assembly Secretary H Lachu and the Speaker CN Somba have appreciated those HODs for their co-operation during the inspection. The initiative was made with an objective to usher in good governance and welfare to its people. The Confederation has directed all HODs and employees to be present in their respective stations.
It further informed to continue to make “frequent visits” to all the government offices under Tuensang headquarter in order to ensure strict attendance of officials in the interest of the general mass.
