GOC 3 Corps greets on 30th Raising Day

Lt. Gen. Bipin Rawat, GOC 3 Corps has extended his greetings on to all ranks, affiliated personnel of the IAF, civilians and families of the Spear Corps on the occasion of its ‘30th Raising Day’. In a statement, issued through Lt. Col. Emron Musavi PRO (Defence), Kohima; the GOC also paid homage to the valiant soldiers who fearlessly and selflessly made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.  3 Corps was raised on February 4, 1985 and has since been ensuring the sanctity of the international borders and spearheading the counter insurgency operations in the North East.  “Our relentless counter insurgency operations, coupled with social responsibility and humane approach towards the local populace, has resulted in a vastly improved security situation and infrastructural development in the region” the GOC said.  He also urged all ranks of the Corps to maintain the highest standards of integrity, discipline and concern for the people of North East and wished all ranks and families of Corps “Good Luck and God Speed”.
