SETAN seeks service extension

Special Education Teachers Association of Nagaland (SETAN) has requested the Directorate of School Education of Nagaland (DSE) to extend their service which has expired on June 2014. In a press release, the Association president Qusheto Zhimomi has expressed anguish over the “step motherly treatment” as no positive steps have yielded except some optimistic assurances despite several meetings with the concerned officers.
He mentioned that the special teachers have been carrying out their responsibility dutifully as entrusted to them even after the expiry of the extension. On behalf of the SET from eleven districts, he has requested the concerned authority to expedite the issue at the earliest and relieve the special teachers from the “mental and emotional torture” that the special teachers are undergoing.
