Dimapur Unit of the All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) has appreciated the district administration for the prompt action initiated against illegal taxation. Dimapur unit ANTA had earlier submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, to take action against illegal taxation.
The unit president, Tohozhe Awomi and the action committee convenor Atoho Kinny said illegal taxation has been reduced following actions initiated by the district administration for which taxi fare between Dimapur and Imphal has been reduced from Rs 600 to 500 for the welfare of the public and passengers in general. The unit has also appreciated the ACAUT for their initiative and support towards checking illegal taxations.
Meanwhile, the Union has directed all counters in Blue Hill Station, Golaghat road, to abide with the orders give by the association, while it also warned that stern action would be taken against the defaulters.
