SN blames govt, orgns for failure to check IBI influx

Survival Nagaland (SN) movement alleged that police in the check-posts have “become like mere decorations for collecting taxes only.” In a press release, SN media cell blamed both the state government and the civil society organisations for failure to check influx of IBIs in “our land” in spite of knowing the danger the issue posed.
Maintaining that apex Naga organisations pretended to sleep over the matter, which threatened the very existence of indigenous inhabitants and future generations, SN said “It is by God’s grace and through the blessing of His wisdom the young generation has woke up from this menace.”
Cautioning Nagas of dangers posed by proposed railway connectivity to Zubza, SN said it would only mean more influx of illegal immigrants into interior parts of Nagaland. The present scenario of IBIs presence in Dimapur should be enough and learn from it, SN said and further maintained that the Naga youth have become wise enough and taking every possible means to check the influx.
Meanwhile, SN has lauded the residents of Signal Angami for dismantling hutment built by one IBI. SN said the hutment was dismantled over an agreement that he would vacate it whenever the landowner told him to vacate. It said IBI failed to pay heed to deadline of vacating and instead started opening some shops in partnership with an underground cadre. later, the residents together with the colony council and volunteers dismantled hutment.
SN said illegal aliens have become bold and brave taking the patronage of “so called ‘national workers’.” Further, SN appreciated the youths of Kohima who pushed back eight illegal immigrants from Kohima who were travelling from Dimapur in the wee hours.
“This incident clearly shows how these IBIs are taking chance to swarm over our land while the Nagas are sleeping but not anymore,” said stated.
