The National Integration Tour (NIT), organised by 18 Assam Rifles concluded on January 21.
Altogether 17 students comprising nine boys and eight girls along with teachers from St Xaviers Higher Secondary School (Jalukie), Heraka Vidya Bharati School (Jalukie B), All Saints Higher Secondary School (Peren), Government Higher Secondary School (Peren) and Zeliangrong Heraka School (Tening) were part of the tour.
They have visited Hawa Mahal, Amer Fort, Jantar Mantar, Albert Hall Museum, Jaigarh Fort, Jal Mahal, Nahargarh Fort, City Palace, Birla Temple, Qutab Minar, Red Fort, National Museum, Rajghat, Rajputana Rifles Centre, IA Museum and JNU Planetarium in Delhi and Taj Mahal at Agra over fourteen days of tour from January 8 to 21.
The students also interacted with prominent military and civil personalities including Haribhai P Chaudhary, Minister of State for Home Affairs, and Lieutenant General Arun Kumar Sahni, Army Commander South Western Command.
During the flagging in ceremony, Commandant 18 Assam Rifles encouraged the students to utilize the experience and imbibe the positive values of people from different States of India.
