Assistance for needy people in Mangkolemba

In a goodwill gesture, heads of department had made monetary contribution and extend financial assistance to widows, orphans, physically disabled and downtrodden people in Mangkolemba town on the occasion of Republic Day.
With the assistance of the Mangkolemba Adhoc Town Committee (MATC), eight people were selected from 7 wards for this year.
On January 26, a team of MATC members, ward chairmen and gaonburas led by Limawapang Jamir, Additional Deputy Commissioner; Renbemo Ezung, SDO (Civil); and Akum Jamir, Senior Medical Officer, Mangkolemba; visited all the 7 wards and personally handed monetary aid to the selected beneficiaries.
It was first of its kind by the government officials posted in Mangkolemba under the leadership of Limawapang Jamir, ADC Mangkolemba, to undertake such benevolent activity.
