Nagaland chief minister, T.R. Zeliang has congratulated Miss Mhonbeni L. Ezung on being selected for the ‘National Bravery Award, 2014’.
In a press release issued through the media officer to CM, Zeliang said it was a matter of great pride for all that a girl, then 8-years, could rescue her grandmother from drowning disregarding her own life.
CM said that despite her tender age, it was most praiseworthy that she took care of her grandmother till help arrived.
Stating that the nomination for the coveted and prestigious Award was most deserving, CM said the courageous act of the young girl would surely be an inspiration not only to children but the Nagas as a whole.
Zeliang also extended heartfelt congratulations to the parents of the brave Miss Mhonbeni and wished her success and a bright future.
