YPCC alleges breach of peace agreement

Yimchungru Public Coordination Committee (YPCC) has questioned the legitimacy and seriousness of Longkhim Peace Agreement instituted by the Peace Committee of Longleng accusing the other party of violating peace agreement.
YPCC convenor Lunthrungba Yimchungru and the general secretary Lokhum YS have listed various incidents where Yimchungers were subjected to harassment where properties were destroyed and also sanctioned economic blockade.
In the light of the above stated circumstances, YPCC has questioned the legitimacy and seriousness of the resolutions for peace and tranquility endorsed by different communities, sectors in Tuensang on January 10.
It also asked where do the other communities stand at this juncture when the joint resolution being adopted was not implemented in letter and spirit but rather seems lopsided. It said the unhealthy activities in and around Tuensang district should be given a serious thought and curb the menace if at all the denizens are serious about cohesive existence.
YPCC has also urged the Peace Committee to delve and deliver justice in the interest of peace within ENPO jurisdiction. It further urged the competent authority to initiate necessary measures and take appropriate action so that true peace prevails and that nobody should take law for a ride.
