Peren District Health Society has announced to conduct a multispecialty health mela on January 28 from 8 a.m. onwards at Beisumpuikam village under Jalukie block in Peren district. District Medical Officer, Pezanguno Celine Secü, said multispecialist doctors would be available for Obs and Gynea, surgery, pediatrics (Child Specialist), medicine, eye and dental. Apart from free health checkups and distribution of free medicines, there would be sensitization of public in the form of one to one and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) by the IEC personnel.
On spot immunization, various laboratory testing, counseling and testing of HIV by mobile ICTC, family planning services and Ante Natal Check up for pregnant mothers would also be done. Free nutritional packages would be distributed to all the pregnant mothers coming for check up.
Meanwhile, DMO has informed all the public of Jalukie block to come and avail various health services at the health mela.
