A combined team of ‘D’ Coy of 9th NAP (IR) Bn. and ‘F’ Coy of 15 NAP (IR) Bn have arrested one person with arms and ammunitions around Blue Hill Station and Hongkong Market area on January 24 at around 4 p.m.
The accused person has been identified as Hito Chishi (26), son of Akheho of Litami village (New) and presently residing near Government School, Purana Bazar, Dimapur. Police recovered of one .22 pistol with magazine from his possession.
It was further established that the accused person is an active member of NSCN (U) in the rank of Khapur. Accordingly, a case has been registered at Dimapur East PS for further investigation.
