Netaji remembered on his 118th birthday

Netaji Birthday Celebration Committee has observed the 118th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in Dimapur Railway Colony. Netaji Birthday Celebration Committee was established in the year 1988.
Netaji Subhas was twice elected president of the Indian National Congress, the country’s most important political force for freedom in the year 1938 and 1939, who also formed the Ajad Hind Fauj to make India Free from British rule.
Netaji was remembered with gaiety in presence of good number of gathering and community leaders.
KK Paul, president of Dimapur Bengali Samaj, graced the programme as the chief guest while Puloto Swo, Assistant Vice president of Yes Bank, Dimapur, was the special guest. Bishnu Bhattacharjee, president NPF Minority Wing of Nagaland, was the guest of honour.
The chief guest, in his address, has appealed the gathering not to forget the true freedom fighter of India. Bhattacharjee said Netaji should be remembered by youth of Nagaland for his last journey to Chesezu village in Phek district in Nagaland which is marked as national tourist spot.
Chairman of Railway Netaji Colony, Z Kapfo said Nagas love Netaji for his attachment with Naga villagers and requested all to visit Chesezu ‘The last camp of Netaji’ in Phek district. The event was marked by cultural programme.
