Newly constructed GPS building, which was funded under SSA flagship programme 2010-2011, was inaugurated on January 17 by Liboni Humtsoe, Project Director DRDA, Wokha, as the chief guest.
Emphasizing on strict discipline and cleanliness within the school compound and class rooms, the chief guest appealed all village leaders and council members to continue and support the school in the days to come.
Focusing on girl child, she asked the parents to send their children to school since most of the girl child are neglected and not sent to school for which, as a result, there are less lady officers particularly in the Lotha community.
Talking about government schools, she said many retired government officers were brought up in government schools.
A donation to purchase furniture to be used in the class room and school office was handed over to village education committee.
Short speeches were also delivered by T Chonpenthung Odyou, SDEO, Wokha, P Zubenthung Humtsoe, ADC, SSA, and KS Ngullie, chairman village council Rezumphen.
The programme was chaired by V Daniel Lotha.
