Assam Rifles nabs two armed cadres

Acting on specific information about an unauthorized weapons in Lilen Kuki village in Peren district, 18 Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarters 6 Sector Assam Rifles, launched an operation on January 15 and arrested two persons with arms.
The two persons were identified as Thanglun (33) and Lettin Pao (31) both residence of Lilen Kuki village. They were suspected to be NSCN (IM), KTU cadres. Assam Rifles personnel seized one point 22 Rifle, one 12 Bore Gun and assorted ammunitions.
Apprehended individuals along with recovered weapons and ammunitions were handed over to Athibung Police Station.
