Kigwema Youth Organisation (KYO) Platinum Jubilee Meet on the theme “Pledging for posterity” concluded on January 17 at Kholera ground, Kigwema, with NN Zhasa, Principal Secretary of Forest & Climate Change, as the guest of honor.
NN Zhasa, in his speech, stated that the platinum jubilee holds a lot of meaning and depth adding jubilee celebration indicated for the community to live in peace, prosperity and progress.
The Platinum Jubilee which began on January 14 with Class 1 Contractor Vilelie Khamo as the chief guest and Vikho-o Yhoshü, Parliamentary Secretary for Veterinary and AH, Treasuries & Accounts and LMCP Nagaland, as jubilee host along with the Kigwema Talüpfüko as the special guests.
A prayer was invoked by Rev. Mekhale Yhoshü with special geizo presented by Lhevito and friends. Comment by Mezhüvo-o Thorie, president KYO, choral ensemble was present by the CYE of all the four local churches in the village and winded up by Vilekho Bio, secretary organizing committee.
In the closing ceremony, the beating retreat was performed by team captains. Auld Lang Syne was sang by Vizopale and friends followed with bonfire, oldies and melodies.
The first day of the platinum meet highlighted the unveiling of the monolith with other special presentations while the second and third day witnessed sports and games such as football, volleyball (men and women), javelin, shot put etc.
The jubilee feast also included with pledging for posterity with a humble effort to strive to such as to promote God-endowed talents imbibing the time tested values of our ancestors; renew and strengthen social relationships built on Christian principles and Human ethics; built a strong viable society that foster human dignity, equality and rights; bequeath a sustainable society not threatened by environment issues and be a precursor in orienting visions and anchoring hope for a better tomorrow.
