A two-day 52nd general session of Confederation of Chang Students Union (CCSU) was on January 14 and 15 at Saksi NAP sector on the theme ‘Seneibü kithu haan phonngeibü’ (Re-awakening our momentum).
The occasion was graced by Mayang Lima, NJS Registrar Gauhati High Court, Kohima bench and member secretary of Nagaland state legal service authority, as the chief guest. Speaking at the programme, Mayang Lima encouraged the gathering to maintain peace and unity amongst the neighbouring brothers to bring about a large scale productivity and development in the global economy.
Session speaker Rev. Fr. Hoping Chingmak Benjamin Chang spoke on the topic ‘Education –the soul of the society,’ while NCF pastor, Pune, focused on the theme and encouraged the gathering to pursue quality education.
Short speeches were also delivered by Rovise Nyuwi, Commandant 3rd BN NAP; NY Choba, president TVCU; MP Nokshang, president CKS; Antimangyang, president CTS; Topong Chuba, AGS ENSF; head GBs and council chairman from various federating villages.
Meawhile, the Confederation has expressed gratitude to the district administration, officers and security personnel of DEF Tuensang, 22 Assam Rifles, 3 BN NAP for their participation and arrangements provided during the session.
