BJP refutes Yitachu’s remark

Spokespersons of Nagaland BJP have reacted sharply to the statement by Yitachu parliamentary secretary and spokesperson of NPF party, that chief minister T.R. Zeliang and the NPF delegation would be holding meeting with state BJP in Delhi in presence of central BJP leaders. BJP unit termed it as “a figment of his imagination because there was absolutely no such proposal”.
The spokespersons took a dig at the NPF saying that when it used to be “so critical of the BJP” it was “ now rushing to BJP central headquarters” where it met national general secretary (Organisation) . The Spokesperson retorted: “the only explanation was either they (CM’s group) have accepted as their party high command or they are working on an agenda of joining BJP”.
Further, they said state BJP president Dr. M. Chuba Ao had “rubbished” Yitachu’s statement that the four BJP MLAs and party president “were summoned by central BJP leadership”. They clarified that the central BJP had invited Dr. Chuba and the four MLAs “for political consultation on the present ongoing crisis of the state”.
They also clarified that Ram Madhav, general secretary met T.R. Zeliang and his team but not Ram Lalji general secretary (Org) as reported. Taking a jibe they said it was “interesting, that chief minister of a state” representing a regional party, rushed to Delhi to seek “political advice of central BJP general secretary”.
They said it was “unbecoming” of NPF leaders to be “interfering with the internal affairs of the state BJP” and reminded alliance partners that it was capable of setting its house in order and did not need outside advice or guidance.
The spokespersons also informed that state unit president Dr. M.Chuba with state BJP legislators met only some top party officials and would remain in Delhi to meet other top BJP officials on their return to Delhi.
