2 killed, 6 injured in road mishap

Two persons were killed and 6 others injured in a road mishap when a Maruti Zen carrying eight people rolled down below the road near Thsingaki River some 20 km away from Kiphire town. The accident occurred at around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday when the vehicle was heading towards Kiphire Town from Santsoze Village after visiting their family members.  
The deceased have been identified as Kathsing Sangtam of 3rd NAP Kiphire and Diezechutou Chuse Havaldar of 14 IR “E Coy” Kiphire camp. Both were found dead at the site. The injured have been identified as Amos (driver); Christina (1 and half yr old); Lushitsi (17); Thrijungla (14); Shenlethsi (20); and Theoliba (10). 
The injured have been admitted to the District Hospital Kiphire. Three of the injured were said to be in a serious condition. As the driver was in an unconscious condition, the actual cause of the accident was not known till the time of filing this report.
