Kaito-led DAN holds coordination meeting in Dmu

Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) coordination committee of the Kaito-led group Wednesday reaffirmed to stand by Kaito as leader of the NPF legislature party.
According to a press release issued by the NPF press & media bureau, the meeting was attended by legislators of the NPF and BJP and officials of both the party. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Kaito Aye.
It said that BJP through its legislators and the party office bearers “reaffirmed the stand taken by them and assured the House that they would firmly stand with Kaito Aye, as the leader who commands the majority support of the legislators”.
Further, the bureau said  BJP also informed that they “would not support the side that was responsible for their (MLAs) disqualification for which they had to battle in court on two occasions”.
The bureau further said that the meeting was also addressed by Nagaland Lok Sabha MP, Neiphiu Rio, “ the recognized NDA MP from Nagaland as he was the consensus candidate of the DAN coalition”.
The meeting also resolved to strengthen the DAN coalition and give due respect and recognition to each other in the greater interest of the people of the state.
The meeting also resolved on “the need to renew and strengthen the relationship between the State Government and the NDA Government at the Centre”, the bureau added.
