Rijiju visits Kma, meets Governor

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju who was in Nagaland Tuesday to inaugurate the ‘Maati Ki Rang’ festival at NEZCC Complex, Dimapur called on Nagaland Governor P.B Acharya, Wednesday morning at Kohima.
According to sources, Rijiju on Wednesday had flown to Kohima by chopper along with chief minister T.R. Zeliang and was received by ministers and parliamentary secretaries at Assam Rifles Helipad, Kohima.
Sources also said that T.R. Zeliang and NPF president Dr. Shürhozielie reportedly met Rijiju. BJP members also met Rijiju, the source added.
It may be mentioned, that the political crisis within the NPF, precipitated by an internal rebellion by legislators, has affected the normal functioning of the government.
The union Minister of State (MHA) had arrived Dimapur Tuesday afternoon to attend the NEZCC programme ‘Maati Ke Rang’ in Dimapur as chief guest. It was learnt, that the MoS had been briefed about the political crisis affecting the DAN-III government at the meetings he held on Tuesday and Wednesday before returning to Delhi on Wednesday.
Meanwhile spokesperson of NPF Kohima camp, Yitachu informed that the activities taking place in Sovima camp were undemocratic and that keeping the elected members in confinement with false promises was pointless.
To queries as to whether the ruling members were prepared for any eventuality if the state Governor did not act in their favour, Yitachu exuded confidence the dictates constitutional ways and means would bear their stand. He added that truth alone will take the state and people forward and not “false promises”.
Meanwhile, Kaito-led NPF group in Sovima camp who recently formed a parallel NPF team in Dimapur, was also reportedly gearing up to approach the Election Commission of India (ECI) this week.
Sources informed Nagaland Post that “things will be more vivid” as they have fulfilled the required conditions and they would approach the ECI within a week time.
Central BJP summons State president, MLAs
Taking note of the recent political crisis in Nagaland, central BJP leadership has reportedly summoned the Nagaland unit BJP president Dr. M. Chuba Ao and four MLAs to Delhi.
Sources said that the BJP unit president and the MLAs were reportedly asked to reach Delhi by Thursday. Sources confirmed that all of them would be leaving for Delhi on Thursday.
They are reported to meet senior national BJP members on Friday.
