Responding to the “self confusing statement” of Yitachu, the NPF (Kaito group) Wednesday said the “direct admission” of Yitachu that the present strength of NPF legislature party was 29 MLAs only exposed the “autocratic and dictatorial style of former president Dr. Shürhozelie”.
In a press release, NPF press & media cell stated that Dr. Shürhozelie issued the suspension order to democratically elected MLAs at his whims and fancies and in his emotional attempt to stay in power. It stated that dictatorial action of Dr. Shürhozelie compelled the party to remove him from the chair of president.
NPF press and media cell claimed that senior party leaders requested Dr. Shürhozelie to convene special CEC meeting to amicably settle the prevailing issue within the party, but he “turned a blind eye” to the issue that was hovering in the party right under his nose. Unfortunately, it said NPF was “forced to remove him from the chair and elect Noke Wangnao as the president.” Meanwhile, it demanded that T. R. Zeliang gracefully resign and pave the way for the NPF majority party to form the government without any further delay.
