KYO platinum jubilee meet underway

A 4-day Kigwema Youth Organization 75th Platinium Jubilee meet got underway at Kholera ground Kigwema under the theme “Pledging for posterity” with Vilelie Khamo, Class I Contractor as the chief guest.
Vilelie, in his address, has lauded the youth of Kigwema village for bringing laurels to their village and also to the neighborhood villages in the field of sports and others. He advised the youth to choose one particular sport and games and take it as profession to excel at higher level. He said besides health benefits, sports also builds friendship and bring people together.
Vilelie reminded that Jubilee is a time to forgive and forget the past misconduct of each
other and called upon the people to take Jubilee as an opportunity to increase friendship and oneness. The chief guest also advised the youth to be disciplined and strive for higher achievements in the fields of sports and also to maintain unity as it is a must for all round development.
The chief guest also shared the memory of his early education 30 years back in this village where he was taught and mould and added that it touches him deeply meeting his classmates and teachers. Cautioning the young people about food habits, he said many great people in our community have lost their lives because of unwanted food and drinking habits.
He urged the organization to ponder on what and how much have they achieved in 75 years and make effort to do better now to achieve laurels for the society. He advised the young people to take advantage of modern facilities and march ahead with the rest of the world. 
Thepfüralie Zütso, Chairman KVC, in his greetings, thanked the pioneers of the organization who initiated the KYO. He said in the name of Jubilee meet, they have forgiven all those who have wronged them, committed wrongdoings and banned from the village. The chairman wished the jubilee to usher peace, reconciliation and goodwill to all.
Earlier, the chief guest unveiled the platinum jubilee monolith and also released the jubilee souvenir.
The programme was compeered by Mednguno and Seyievi-o, while the theme song was presented by Visato, and Neingusazo Kere invoked God’s blessing. The welcome
address was delivered by Khrievisa Chale, Convenor organizing committee, while special song was presented by KBNK, and tournament oath taking was administered by Mhalevile Kere, Sports Secretary and Atoto Kere, NWA champion 2014, was the torch bearer.
Naga Style wrestling competition was conducted on the first day and the sports like football volley for men and women would be held in the following days.
