23 AR free veterinary aid camp at Noklak

With the aim to provide treatment to animals belonging to the locals of remote areas, the 23 Assam Rifles (AR) under the aegis of HQ 7 Sector AR organized free veterinary aid camp at Noklak town under Tuensang district January 8.
According to IGAR (N), PRO, the veterinary team was led by Capt B P S Thakur from 14 Mobile Field veterinary hospital. Altogether 1984 animals were treated including 140 dogs, 368 pigs, 136 goats, 1307 poultry and 33 cattle.
Doctor also educated the villagers on medical aspects and caretaking of pets and livestock and distributed medicines to the locals for their pets.
Meanwhile, locals have expressed gratitude to the Assam Rifles and veterinary team for their humanitarian service and providing medical treatment to their pets.
