Illegal tax collector arrested

Acting on information received from reliable source of some underground members collecting illegal tax near DMC toll tax, Burma Camp, Dimapur, Dimapur police along with some NGOs arrested one FGN/ NNC (N) cadre on January 9.
The accused has been identified as ‘Capt’ Atobo Yepthomi (32), son of Viheyi Yepthomi of Ikishe village under Diphupar police station. Police also seized cash of Rs 400 and one Alto car bearing registration No. NL-07C-9475 (Red colour) from his possession. One preliminary examination, it was ascertained that he was collecting annual tax from Manipur bound trailer/ truck. In this connection, a case has been registered at Dimapur East Police Station for further investigation.
