A three-day event of Children festival and Carnival for children’s age group between 4 to 16 years which commenced on January 8 concluded today at Imkongmeren Sport Complex here.
Speaking to Nagaland Post, Alemla Apong, founder of Children Evangelism Foundation (CEF), said the carnival was a huge success which was held for the first time. Alemla Apong disclosed that she witnessed inquisitiveness and openness in the children.
When asked about her inspiration in life, she has attributed to children who give motivation and strength that keep her going. “The children allowed me never to give up, they are my inspiration,” she said. She also said that the kids of these generations are unstoppable – they are like bullets, faster in learning and fragile. She had been working for children’s welfare since 2000.
A member from King’s Kids International (Youth with a Mission) from Taiwan, Pastor David Charles Homer, who is serving in a humble church for the past 10 years, said children here are shy but after knowing each other he could see the openness in them. Same comments were also said by the other member from Youth with a Mission.
