Western Angami Students’ Union (WASU) is all set to hold its 41st biennial general conference on January 13 at Khonoma on the theme “Each one, teach one.” State minister for Social Welfare, Kiyanilie Peseyie, would be the chief guest while Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Advisor of Angamimiapfii Mechii Krotho (AMK) would be the guest of honour.
The inaugural function would start at 10 AM. WASU advisor, Rokophrezo Rocus Rino, would chair the function while Mesasielie Meyase, president of Khonoma Students’ Union, would deliver welcome address. Presidential address would be delivered by WASU president Kedoroko Casavi, while greetings would be delivered by Zakie Khate, president of Angami Students’ Union (ASU) and Dolhunyii Chasie, Chairman of Khonoma Village Council. Special numbers would be presented by Vikhotsono Zhiinyu, finalist 1st Naga Idol, and Visedelhou Terhiija, finalist Naga Talent Promo 2012. The vote of thanks would be proposed by WASU speaker Neilhouvilie Senotsu.
Competition hours have been scheduled at 12:30 PM, where Savilie Krunilie, president of Western Angami Public Organization (WAPO), would exhort the gathering. WASU deputy speaker Keneiviu Sechii would chair the valedictory function, starting from 3:00 PM onwards. Guest of honour Salhoutuonuo Kruse would speak on the topic “Gender equality and responsibility.” Keneilhounuo Dziivichii, finalist Kids for Fame 2011 would entertain the gathering with a special number.
