NTC flays terror activities in State

The Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) was disturbed by the terror campaign of some miscreants that are attempting to disrupt the peace and tranquility of the people in the State of Nagaland by the elements from outside the State posing serious threat to life and security of the peace loving citizens.
NTC media cell has particularly referred to the news report of a person who sustained serious injury when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded while he was reportedly trying to plant the same at Eros Lane, near Blue Hill station, Dimapur, on Monday night and the subsequent recovery of two more IEDs from the vehicle near the site.
The injured person was identified as Longjam Ojit Meitei (30) son of L Joykumar Meitei, from Sapinghot, Makha Leikai, PO Lamlong, Lamlai PS, as per in his driving license.
NTC was shocked to learned that the two IEDs recovered from the car had white papers stuck on them mentioning the dates and time when the bombs were to be exploded. One was to be exploded on January 25 at 10 a.m. and the other one on January 26 at 7 a.m.
The NTC, while lauding the prompt and effective action of the Police and the District Administration for identifying the perpetrator and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence of such dreadful elements, urged the State government to remain on high alert and vigilance towards such terror mongers. The NTC also apprised all concerned citizens to be vigilance and proactive towards curbing such elements threatening life and security of the citizens from within and outside. NTC said the State and its peace loving citizens cannot allow such elements to use Nagaland as safe haven to thrive their terror activities.
NTC has further condemned all kinds of terror activities which were intended to intimidate and create fear in the minds of the civilians and urged the State government to take all necessary measures to safe guard the citizens.
SN condemns Dimapur blast
Survival Nagaland has vehemently condemned the recent bomb explosion by some Manipuri militants at Eros lane Dimapur, on January 5. It expressed concern that Dimapur in particular has become a safe haven for all types of anti-socials and criminals from outside and appealed all the people to wake up as time is already running out to save our land from all types of rogue elements.
Survival Nagaland through its Public Relation Cell has called upon the citizens of Dimapur to seriously ponder over the recent development. It questioned how could anyone from anywhere do as they wish in Dimapur at anytime?
It has suggested the district administration, GBs, chairmen, churches, student bodies and NGOs to work out some modalities in unison before the land is devoured by outside elements. It asked whether our next generation could live freely in our own land if things are to continue this way.
The Survival Nagaland also condemned the assault meted to Abel Tepa, advisor Angami Students’ Union, Chakroma region, by one driver Vicky Singh from Karimganj who use to ferry IBI passenger to the state capital by passing the police check post which actually should be off-limits for outsiders without valid documents.
It called upon the transport department, taxi Association and also local authorities to check and control the issue of license and vehicle permit in Nagas name and demanded that this should be contained at the earliest.
It claimed that Kukidolong areas beyond the Chumukedima gate and the state capital and other districts which are all ILP enforced zone are now fully swarmed by IBI  population taking over all business activities because of our Nagas love of easy money and lack of dignity of labour.
The Survival Nagaland has also questioned the FGN how Pavito Sema, son of Zheketo Sema, arrested by the police, was used as their tax collector whose physical features was never a Naga. It asked if Pavito is a real Naga by blood. It said many factions of NPGs are doing more harm to Nagas rather than good by recruiting IBIs and other non-locals as tax collector. The Survival Nagaland further asked whether the Naga national movement is really for the Nagas or any foreign, external or irrelevant far-off unrelated people.
