AAUD refutes news report

Reacting to news item “Dimapur Police nab two for collection”, published January 4, the Akuluto Area Union Dimapur (AAUD) has denied the claims of one accused Kavito Achumi that he hails from Lochomi village under Akuluto PS, Zunheboto district.
Terming the claims as “derogatory”, AAUD president Dr.Hesheto Y.Chishi and AAUD general secretary Lhokuto Kiho, in a press release, said “there is neither such existing person by name Kavito Achumi in Akuluto area nor Lochomi village falls under the preview of Akuluto Town sub division.” Meanwhile, AAUD has vehemently condemned the “act of tax collection and derogatory information” provided by Kavito Achumi. Akuluto Area Union Dimapur demanded apology and warned the accused of “stern action” if repeated in the future.
Accused clarifies
Apropos news item “Dimapur police nab two for collection”, published January 4, one of the accused Kavito Achumi has clarified that he had “inadvertently mentioned” PS as Akuluto, which, he said was not true.
Accused also clarified he was from Lochumi village, under Zunheboto but was brought up in Dimapur. He requested all responsible to “kindly forgive me for my ignorance and the resultant inadvertent error.”
