Dimapur Urban Colony Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCCF) has vehemently condemned the “threat on ACAUT” by NSCN (K).
In a press release, DUCCCF press cell said the threat to ACAUT was considered a a threat to all the members of the DUCCCF since all its members were ACAUT members.
The federation said Nagas were “no fools to be cowed down” by the threats of those using AK 47 or bombs for extortion and intimidation for “their selfish gains in the guise of sovereignty.”
DUCCCF cautioned NSCN (K) not to resort to such acts of terror as it was alien to the Naga culture. The federation pointed out that the patience of public was running thin fighting against “unabated taxation” and also questioned the government of the day as to why it is treating innocent public as second class citizens by giving free hand to NPGs to “terrorize innocent public.”
The federation said that before “the wrath of Naga public” fell upon such “anti social element”, there was the need to for the government to wake up and deal with the situation firmly.
