DUDA informs on special grants

Director underdeveloped areas Nagaland K.S. Anden Konyak has informed that the department of underdeveloped areas would be providing special grants to the students belonging to the six designated backward tribe students who passed out HSLC in 2016 from schools.
The students from Chang, Khiamniugan , Konyak, Phom, Sangtam and Yimchungrü tribes located in four districts of Tuensang , Mon, Longleng and Kiphire and whose parents are permanent residents of the four districts are eligible for the same. 
It has been informed that the scheme is only for the orphans or children of farmers or students who come from economically poor background. Children of fixed pay or work charge employees of the state government can also apply. 
The press release also stated that students who have passed the qualifying exam with minimum mark of 55% and above are eligible.  Eligible students have been asked to collect the forms from the directorate of DUDA Kohima near Kohima DC’s office and that the last date of form submission is August 12
